We are pleased to announce that Gary Friesen joined Northern Seed July 20th managing our Shelby location. We are excited to have him join our team.
Gary started his career in Havre Montana working for Farmers Grain Exchange. He operated the feed plant, learned seed cleaning and treating, and loaded rail cars. Next, he moved to McIntosh, Minnesota and worked in a small facility cleaning grain and selling Super Sweet Feeds. Then, he operated a feed plant on a large chicken farm making feed for approximately 1M birds. From there, he moved to Hillsboro N.D. where he managed a Certified Seed plant.
Then Gary moved back to Havre and attended Northern Montana College majoring in Environmental Science. Gary’s son was born and he went back into the grain business managing a facility in Carter, Montana for PV Company. From there Gary went to work for CHS. Gary managed the Elevator and Agronomy plant in Sunburst, Montana. Most recently Gary managed the Cut Bank elevator. Gary spent a total of 17 years with CHS before joining Northern Seed.
We are excited about his passion as we strive to make a fundamental and meaningful impact on the future of Montana agriculture.
